Interviewees were positive about how childhood obesity has been getting so much attention, but Cardoza says it's still unclear how the research is making a difference at the ground level.

Changing eating habits together

Doctors say families have to make changes along with their children to be effective. Cardoza and Moored found themselves changing their own habits over the course of the series; Cardoza says she still points out the McDonalds when they drive by, but she no longer insists on stopping.
