Southbound Wisconsin Avenue NW in Glover Park was closed for more than an hour Monday due to a report of a suspicious package.

Police and emergency services originally closed the road in both directions in order to respond to a report of a suspicious package.

DCFD gave the all clear on the package around 8:30, but the closure caused heavy delays along Wisconsin throughout much of the morning rush hour.

WAMU's Jessica Jordan reported a traffic backup from the 2200 block of Wisconsin to Massachussetts Avenue NW.
