Woman Struck By Metro Train

A spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says units arrived on the scene to find a woman underneath a train.

According to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's Twitter account, preliminary police investigation indicates the woman was intentionally in the path of the train.

The incident caused delays on Metro's red line due to single-tracking between Friendship Heights and Medical Center.
