The audit finds a number of irregularities and mistakes from Brown's 2008 campaign, including more than $100,000 in unreported contributions and $170,000 in unreported expenditures.
It also finds the campaign made $380,000 in payments to a company called Banner Consulting Services, which then quickly directed about $240,000 of that money to a company owned by Brown's brother, Che. The audit says his brother's company couldn't properly document how it spent $174,000 of this money.
Brown says his campaign funds are properly accounted for and he says all of the work completed by outside contractors, including his brother, went to helping the campaign.
