A group of fund raisers in Columbia, Md., says now is the time to look back and this weekend is the time to take action.

Bob Anantua visited Haiti in December and says 90 percent of the rubble is still on the ground. As president of the Build Haiti Foundation, he's taking action this weekend.

"No one nation can just come out of this situation by itself," Anantua says.

Anantua who has cousins in Haiti, says it's important to be an active part of the global community.

"It is still very important for all of us to really pay attention to what's going on in the world because we first had Haiti and then we had Chile, now Japan, we need to be asking ourselves who's next?" Anantua says.

Larry Jackson and the Ellicott City Rotary Club debuted the Hand to Hand for Haiti Fundraiser to a fair turnout last year.

"We'd set a goal of 4,000 people. We had about 1,000 there, but on a cold winter day in the middle of snow, it was a pretty good success," Jackson says.

There's no admission, but donations are encouraged. Organizers say if 4,000 people show up to Centennial Park Saturday, they'll be able to link hands around the entire lake.
