The Kastles will leave their current venue and move to the Southwest Waterfront as part of a 10-year redevelopment project in the area.

In just a few weeks, crews will begin construction on a 3,000-seat tennis stadium on the site of the former Hogate's Restaurant on the Southwest Waterfront. The new home of the Washington Kastles is expected to cost about $10 million to build and operate for two years.

"We're right on the waters edge on the southwest waterfront. It's extremely intimate. The last row is about 15 rows from the court, and inside the stadium our matches are incredibly high energy and fan friendly," says Kastels' owner Mark Ein.

Ein says the stadium will feature a variety of seating. The infrastructure is part of a 10-year redevelopment project geared toward renovating a large portion of the Southwest Waterfront.
