Members of the Libyan opposition say they won't stand for Gadhafi's reign of terror any longer.
Protesters outside the Libyan Embassy were determined to show their strong opposition to the Gadhafi family's grip on their homeland.
"Just Gadhafi to be gone, and everything will be resolved; automatically because he is the problem," says Kadija Sherif.
Sherif has been in this country since the late 1970s, though she still has family in Libya. She's lost relatives to violence there and joins Ambassador Ali Aujali in demanding change.
"Fighting the regime until we liberate Libya, until we get rid of this family, until we reach our goals," Aujali says.
Members of Congress met outside the embassy and declared their support for the citizens of Libya and recognition that Aujali remains the true ambassador.
Protesters had hoped to fly the pre-Gadhafi-era flag at the embassy but weren't allowed inside the building.
