WASHINGTON (AP) The D.C. attorney general's office says it's working on developing a new system for testing the blood-alcohol level of suspected drunken drivers after flawed breath-testing equipment called into question nearly 400 convictions.

WASHINGTON (AP) A man who slashed three people with a knife in 2009 at the Embassy of Togo in Washington has been sentenced to time served and will almost certainly be deported. Under a plea agreement, Kokou Bocco pleaded guilty in December to assault on a foreign official while armed.

WASHINGTON (AP) A review by D.C. Council member Tommy Wells says city officials broke the law by providing Council Chairman Kwame Brown a fully loaded Lincoln Navigator SUV. Wells is calling for further investigation and a hearing on March 17. He says it appears the law is routinely violated.
