OLDTOWN, Md. (AP) Allegany County police have charged an Oldtown man with raping two 13-year-olds. Fifty-three-year-old Edward May was arrested last week. He is being held on $150,000 bond.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) A group of Maryland senators is pushing $827 million in tax hikes to restore funding for state roads, education and health care. Six Senate Democrats proposed an alternative to Gov. O'Malley's budget plan today, saying the money from the new taxes would help restore critical programs slashed to close a $1.4 billion gap.

DOVER, Del. (AP) The Delaware Supreme Court has upheld the constitutionality of a 2007 law that allowed victims of child sexual abuse to file lawsuits that otherwise would have been barred by the passage of time. In an opinion issued today, the court said the law does not violate the due process rights of a religious order that has been sued by several alleged victims of priest sex abuse.

NEW YORK (AP) Horse racing's Triple Crown will be broadcast on NBC through 2015. The network will announce the deal later today, marking the first time since 2005 the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes will be broadcast by the same network.
