The Maryland State Highway Administration says its crews are preparing for the coming winter storm.
Administrator Neil Pedersen is urging drivers to stay off the roads Monday night. He also says road crews will be working throughout the night but adds that all routes may not be cleared by Tuesday's morning rush hour. Pedersen advises motorists to check weather conditions before driving and to allow extra travel time.
Pepco says it's preparing for the storm and has scheduled crews and contractors to work around the clock. Pepco says heavy wet snow could bring tree limbs down on wires, resulting in power outages.
