(Feb. 15) HIGH NOON HYMNS Valentine's Day is so yesterday, but a gang of romantics recites poetry this afternoon anyway. You can spend your lunch hour enjoying original and well-known verse at the Library of Congress in Northeast.

(Feb. 15) CHURCH AND CELLO Master cellist Frances-Marie Utti plays a set of contemporary compositions tonight at Northwest Washington's St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Utti uses two bows and over 75 tunings to sound more like a quartet than a soloist. Local guitarist Ayman Fanous rounds out the sound with classical and flamenco flourishes.

(Feb. 15-16) AMADEUS, AMADEUS If you prefer a traditional evening of classics there's the Fessenden Ensemble performing Mozart Favorites Tuesday night at Tenleytown's Saint Columba's Church and Wednesday at National City Christian in Thomas Circle.
