WASHINGTON (AP) A soldier from West Texas is among three killed in a bombing in Iraq. The Defense Department says 30-year-old Sgt. Omar Aceves of El Paso died Wednesday.

LAS VEGAS (AP) The Las Vegas dance community says farewell today to a slain performer who police say was dismembered and then encased in concrete. Debora Flores Narvaez lived in Maryland before moving to Las Vegas, where she was an ambassador for the Washington Redskins.

WASHINGTON (AP) Former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty has taken a job as an outside adviser and counsel for a Philadelphia-based accounting and consulting firm. He will work for Heffler, Radetich + Saitta. Fenty left office earlier this month when new Mayor Vincent Gray was sworn in.

WASHINGTON (AP) D.C. police are investigating a head-on collision in northwest Washington that has killed two people. The accident occurred on Canal Road near Clark Place early this morning.
