In Virginia, the agriculture and forestry industries employ 500,000 people and generate $79 billion in revenue annually. Gov. Bob McDonnell is proposing an aggressive land preservation and international trade promotion campaign, and the Commonwealth's wine industry would be a major focus of the effort.
