HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) A Pennsylvania man convicted in the death of his girlfriend's infant daughter faces sentencing today in Hagerstown. A jury convicted 23-year-old Nicholas McKee in October of first-degree child abuse resulting in the January death of 5-week-old Bella Appel. Prosecutors said the child was shaken to death.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) Montgomery County Police say a woman was raped at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg. It happened about 11 a.m. yesterday. Authorities say the woman went into a women's rest room, where she was confronted by a man with a handgun.

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) Frederick police have arrested two men they say robbed of third man of $9,000 worth of items. Eighteen-year-old Russell Smith of no fixed address, and 21-year-old Joshua McDonald of Frederick, were charged late Sunday with robbery, theft and assault.

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) Salisbury police say a suspect in a fatal shooting in September has been arrested in Connecticut. U.S. Marshals arrested 32-year-old Antonio Jones in Hartford, Conn. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder in the shooting of Devan Walls.
