Exit Interview With D.C.'s Transportation Director

Gabe Klein, the head of D.C.'s Department of Transportation, announced earlier today he will resign at the end of this month. Since outgoing mayor Adrian Fenty appointed him two years ago, Klein has been a strong advocate for alternative modes of transportation, from biking and walking to buses and streetcars.

Klein spoke with transportation reporter, David Schultz, on Wednesday about why he's leaving and what's next for transportation in the District.
