(Dec. 6-Jan. 2) TWO ARTISTS, MANY JOURNEYS A dynamic duo depicts world travels in Two Artists, Many Journeys at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Silver Spring. The joint exhibit runs through early January and features the woodcuts of Carole Nelson, who draws on Persian art and architecture, and the landscape portraits of Margaret Adams Parker, who recently propped her easel up all over Italy.

(Dec. 6-Jan. 8) MULTIDIMENSIONAL METAL Michael Enn Sirvet's multidimensional metal sculptures have earned the Washingtonian some notable patrons, including Michael Jordan, who recently requested a table with 32,292 artfully bored holes -- that's one for every hoop he made over his years in the NBA. Sirvet's latest creations are on display through January at Reyes + Davis on F Street in Northwest Washington.

(Dec. 7) A DECADE IN REVIEW And if you're looking to gain a little perspective during your lunch hour, the Library of Congress waxes poetic Tuesday at 12 at the Thomas Jefferson Building in Southeast. An Army psychiatrist, a creative writing teacher, and a publisher present poetry that describes life in the first decade of the 21st century.
