Metro riders will have the chance Monday afternoon to share how funding should be spent to make improvements to Metro.

The Farragut North Metro station is back open this morning. It was closed overnight after construction crews working outside the station caused materials to fall from the ceiling to the platform.

Several of the ceiling tiles over the platform and over the track are missing. Some appear to be stacked in a pile, close to a construction site that has been sectioned off near the escalator.

Metro rider Chris Bisett was at the station yesterday, shortly after construction work outside the Farragut North Metro Station caused the damage here inside.

"There was a mess down here," he says.

He's among many Metro riders frustrated with the transit agency.

"You don't get trains on time, escalators aren't working, elevators aren't working," Bisset says.

Rider Taylor Kuhllmans patience is waning.

"Metro is really awesome for the most part and has been for the last 10 years, but lately, it's just too much too quickly," Kuhllmans says.

Metro has not reported any injuries as a result of the falling materials.
