Recurring weekday alarms set on iPhone's alarm application did not to ring on time for some consumers this morning due to the time change. The application doesn't recognize the end of Daylight Saving Time, which occurred on Sunday at 2 a.m.
That caused D.C. commuter Christine Sciarrino to run late this morning, skipping breakfast and, instead, eating on the go.
"The first one didn't go off but the second one did. It only went off at 7:25," she says.
It was a close call for Liz Hanat, who happened to wake up before her alarm was scheduled to ring.
"I didn't realize that it hadn't gone off. It actually is the only alarm I set. Luckily I woke up," Hanat says.
Apple is set to release an updated version of its mobile software later this month, which will fix the problem.
