The pundits will dissect as the partisans lament the Democrat's change of status in the House. It's useful to note they lost their majority, and less accurate to say they lost control. After all, control implies a degree of cohesiveness on command, for example. But it always was tough for big tent Democratic leaders to herd all those free-ranging House liberals, barking Blue Dogs and pragmatic moderates. Republicans may well experience their own version of this.
