Police Release More Details About Suspicious Vehicle, Street Closures
U.S. Park Police had to call in the bomb squad last night and closed several streets around the National Mall after they spotted a suspicious vehicle.
Police now say that vehicle contained car batteries wired to propane tanks. It also contained a generator with wires attached to it in the bed of the truck. Police say the truck is owned by 66-year-old James Patock of Arizona.
Police also found firearms and ammunition inside Patock's trailer.
He's being charged unregistered ammunition and firearms offenses.
