Republican gubernatorial challenger Bob Ehrlich lost to Governor Martin O’Malley last night.
During his concession speech, Ehrlich said his future plans include building up his law firm, spending more time with his family and doing charity work.
“I’m really disappointed, obviously, because I love to win and I love to compete," he said. "But this is politics and this is Maryland, and being a Republican in Maryland means it's tough.”
Ehrlich says he congratulates Gov. O’Malley and wishes him well.
Virginia's attorney general Ken Cuccinelli will face former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe in November to become Virginia's 72nd governor.
