In Maryland, Prince George's County's new executive-elect will have little time to savor his victory.

Rushern Baker received plenty of hugs and handshakes congratulating him on his victory at the Democratic election night party in Baltimore. But in just a month, he will take office. And that has his focus.

"I think for us, if we can get the right men and women into every position in the government, and make sure that we take advantage of the fact that Prince George's County has these development projects that we can do, that will be enough to start off," he says. "We're looking forward to moving those projects."

Among the projects Baker speaks of is massive development around both the New Carrollton and Branch Avenue Metro stations.
