A long-standing tradition of Halloween revelers filling the streets of Georgetown will mean street closings to through-traffic for residents and visitors.

Police and transportation officials say many side streets will be restricted both on Saturday and Sunday nights. On Saturday the streets will be closed to through traffic from 5:30 until 6 a.m. Sunday morning. They will close again on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday morning.

Only residents and employees of businesses within these areas will be given access, and drivers will be asked to present proof of residency or work identification.
