“Art Beat” with Sabri Ben-Achour

(Oct. 14-23) BLOOD WEDDING Georgetown University’s Theater and Performance Studies Program opens a season of faculty-helmed productions tomorrow night at the Davis Performing Arts Center. Federico Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding is staged through October 23. Supernatural forces wreak havoc on star-crossed lovers in the Spanish dramatist’s reimagining of a classical tragedy.

(Oct. 14-17) THEATRICAL TROIKA So, an Indian, a Pole, and a Bostonian decide to put a play together. And so they did. There’s no punchline there. Baltimore’s Theatre Project brought three international theatre artists together to put on a couple of plays - Restraints and Passages. What makes these one-act productions notable is how they eschew linear narrative in favor of striking physical imagery. Runs tomorrow through Sunday.
