Several streets near the Capitol will be closed this week for the filming of scenes from the upcoming movie, "Transformers 3."

This week, get ready to see giant robots on the National Mall. And get ready to find alternate routes home.

The big budget action movie "Transformers 3" will be filming some scenes in D.C. and Arlington, Va., this week. The movie crews will be out on the Mall near the Capitol, so 3rd Street, 4th Street, and both Pennsylvania and Maryland Avenues will be closed for large stretches. There will also be road closures in Arlington near the Air Force Memorial.

Most of the closures will begin on Tuesday night and go until Wednesday morning, but some will last until Thursday afternoon.
