By David Schultz

Virginia just recovered from a massive server meltdown that affected dozens of state agencies - especially the Department of Motor Vehicles, which lost its ability to issue licenses for a week.

McDonnell says he wants to find out what went wrong. And he adds that Northrop Grumman, the private company that built the state's computer network, has agreed to pay the costs of this review.

McDonnell is also ordering DMVs in Virginia to stay open on Sunday and Labor Day because of the backlog of customers.
