ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) U.S. Park Police say some people have been injured by fallen trees on the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser says the incident occurred Thursday afternoon near Slaters Lane during a thunderstorm. He says a crew is on its way to remove trees blocking the road.
It's unclear how many people were hurt, but Schlosser says their injuries were not life-threatening.
