WASHINGTON (AP) As temperatures hover around triple digits in the D.C. area, some Metrorail riders are complaining about sweaty commutes on cars with air conditioning problems. Metro General Manager Richard Sarles says the transit agency is facing challenges with air conditioning on trains.

WASHINGTON (AP) Metro says 12 of the 100 rail cars pulled from service last week have returned to the rails. Metro Assistant General Manager David Kubicek says the move was prompted by concerns raised about the risk that doors on 4,000-series rail cars could open while trains were in motion.

WASHINGTON (AP) Washington mayor Adrian Fenty has gotten a warning from police for failing to signal a right turn. He says it was a mistake and it "was a hundred percent" his fault. He was pulled over in Chinatown last night while on his way to a tennis match.
