Hip Hop Reigns During Ninth Annual Festival

The 9th Annual Hip Hop Theater Festival gets underway today, showcasing hip hop culture and telling the stories of those who don't always have a voice in the mainstream.

As the festival gets ready to take over some of D.C.'s largest venues, including the Kennedy Center, Stephanie Kaye talked with two of its organizers - D.C. poet Holly Bass, and Lisa Richards with the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Stephanie Kaye, speaking with organizers of the D.C. Hip Hop Theater Festival. The festival runs through July 10th.
