Son Of Chief Justice Of The VA Supreme Court Facing Felony Counts

The son of the chief justice of the Virginia Supreme Court is facing charges stemming from an armed home invasion. Henrico County police say 23-year-old Leroy Hassell Jr. was arrested this morning and charged with armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Authorities say an investigation into the incident continues and Hassell was cooperative in responding to questions. More arrests are expected.

Hassell was sentenced in December 2007 to 16 months in jail on a charge of falsifying records for forgery and probation violation. The violation was for previous convictions of petit larceny and unlawful entry.
