
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Three public housing agencies in Virginia are getting federal funding to help homeless veterans.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development says the funding will be used to provide rental assistance vouchers to homeless veterans.
The Virginia Housing Development Authority was awarded $367,558 to help 50 veterans. The Virginia Beach Department of Housing and Neighborhood Preservation will receive $196,398 to help 25 veterans.
Another $72,609 was awarded to the Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority to help 25 veterans.
