Five police officers in Montgomery County, Maryland had to be hospitalized after discovering a dead body in a vehicle in Gaithersburg.

The officers were treated and released from Shady Grove Adventist after being overcome by gasoline vapors emanating from the SUV, which was found in a parking lot on Clopper Road just before 10 last night.

The body of a 39-year-old male was inside the vehicle. His identity has not been released and there's no word yet on exactly how he died. The office of the medical examiner is performing an autopsy. Police say the victim had spent Sunday evening with friends, and that the SUV had been observed as early as Monday morning in the parking lot where officers eventually discovered the body.
