The family of the University of Virginia lacrosse player who was beaten to death, has set up a fund to build a turf field at the high school where she played the sport. Yeardley Love was a senior at UVA whose body was found May 3. Her family has created a memorial fund at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, Md with the hope that the funds raised will go toward building a Yeardley Love Memorial Field. It is estimated the turf field project will require $1 million to complete. So far the school has collected three percent of that amount. Love graduated from Notre Dame Prep in 2006.
