(April 19) BEHIND THE MUSE You can take a peek behind the artistic curtain during Creative Stories tonight at CENTERSTAGE on Calvert Street in Baltimore. Seven storytellers offer an unguarded look at the tumultuous process involved in birthing new artistic life forms, venturing beyond the music to the muse.

(April 19-May15) ATLAS SETTLES DOWN And Harlem is in full swing at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Northeast D.C. The Old Settler, running through May 15th, follows a few Harlem-ites through forbidden love and foreboding family during the post-war years of the 1940s.

(April 24) LADY GALA And Broadway star extraordinaire Patti LuPone is helping the Music Center at Strathmore gear up for its 2010 Spring Gala. The songstress packs her prize-winning pipes for "The Gypsy in My Soul" and an after-party this Saturday in North Bethesda.
