(April 13) JAZZ ALCHEMY From the Bee Gees to the Pixies, The Bad Plus have reworked some of the most revered pop songs into instrumental jazz. Tonight, The Bad Plus drops by Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia at 8 p.m. for some jazzy alchemy, bringing along a new vocalist to bolster both covers and originals.

(April 13) LOVE LIES AND LAUGHTER If you're looking for love or laughter you might enjoy The House with Two Doors, playing tonight through May 9th at The Shop in Northwest D.C. The Italian improvisational style of commedia dell’arte is employed to tell the story of a 17th century suitor caught up in a web of lies, with nothing to save him but swordplay.

(April 14) THEATRE ON THE GO And Studio Theatre hits the road this week with 60 Miles to Silver Lake, on stage through May 9th. The drama makes its debut in Washington, following a father and son barreling down a highway in the solitude of a sedan, eavesdropping on their stilted yet profound conversation.
