Worshipers sing within the white walled chamber of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown.

Father Mark Horak says despite the negative publicity from abuse by clergy members, people are still coming here in high numbers.

"But I know they are hurting and I know they are ashamed of their leaders and they are looking to the church for support," he says.

Father Horak says this holiday, one of forgiveness, is a good time to address the wrongdoings of some clergy members, but he says that's not easy for everyone.

"It's much harder for those who have been abused," he says.

Horak will try to address the issue in his homily during some of the parish's services.

"Our responsibility is to care for one another and I think that's a lesson that all of us need to learn over and over again," he says.

Horack says he hopes his parish will be comforted and see a request for forgiveness for the Church.
