It was Danish physicist Niels Bohr who famously observed, “The opposite of a correct statement is a false one. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth.”

That physicist also designed his own coat of arms with a motto in Latin meaning: “opposites are complementary.” Niels Bohr spent more time with protons and electrons than he did with Democrats and Republicans.
