(Through March 7) MARRIED TO MYSELF When actor Andrew Long exclaims "I am my own wife," he means it. Long portrays 36 characters in about 95 minutes in the play I Am My Own Wife at Signature Theater in Shirlington, Virginia. The show runs through March 7th. The play is a whirlwind of accents and characters, all revolving around a demure yet mischievous cross-dressing East German. You can meet the versatile actor during a free discussion tomorrow afternoon at 1.
(February 4-28) PAWING THROUGH PRINTS Washington Printmakers Gallery puts its paintings up at Pyramid Atlantic Arts Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. Celebrating 25 years in DC, its latest show opens tomorrow and features artwork by over 50 member artists. You can meet them at a reception Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
(February 4) BEAUTY OF THE FATHER Gala Hispanic Theatre in DC's Columbia Heights neighborhood hosts "community night" for its newest play, Beauty of the Father, with discounted tickets tomorrow only. The ghost of Garcia Lorca brings a poetic touch to the play, as an estranged daughter reunites with her father, only to fall in love with his servant and sometime-lover.
