The National Transportation Safety Board is looking into the deaths of two Metro track workers killed in the early morning hours of January 26th. The workers were run over by a truck that was operating on the rails near the Rockville, Maryland station.
The NTSB has interviewed at least 12 Metro employees about the accident and is reviewing Metro's safety rules. It's also planning to conduct a sight-distance test, which measures visibility.
It is also investigating the June 22nd crash on the Red Line that killed eight passengers and a train operator.
The NTSB has not determined an official cause for either accident.
