RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Metallica has posted its condolences on its Web site to the family and friends of Morgan Harrington, whose remains were found three months after she disappeared while attending the band's concert in Charlottesville. The remains of the Virginia Tech student were found this week.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) The threshold at which water damage to vehicles must be disclosed would raise under a bill that's cleared the House despite consumer advocates saying it could make Virginia a dumping ground for flooded cars. The House voted Thursday to raise the amount of repair required to qualify as a water-damaged vehicle from $1,000 to $5,000.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) A Delaware man convicted of participating in a multistate gift card scam will spend more than two years in prison. Jerry A. Diggs of Middletown, Del., also must make restitution of more than $230,000 to more than 100 victims of the scam.
