
(January 28) JUDY GARLAND SONGBOOK The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra brings out the Judy Garland Songbook for a series of concerts at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, and the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore tomorrow through Sunday. Broadway's Linda Eder breathes new life into the music of one of America's most celebrated performers.
(January 30-April 25) TURNER TO CEZANNE The Corcoran Gallery near D.C.'s Lafayette Square opens a new exhibit on Wednesday. Turner to Cezanne features masterpieces from the Davies Collection in Wales, spans J.M.W. Turner's Romanticism to Paul Cezanne's Impressionism, with pieces that rarely travel outside Europe.
(January 30) SWEDISH SISTER CITY The Alexandria Performing Arts Association struck a deal with its Scandinavian sister city, Helsingborg, to bring a smorgasbord of song to Convergence art center this Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. The Swedish Jazz Duo and Helsingborg's Lucia teen choir join Alexandria's Choral Society and Harmonizers.
