A teacher accused of assaulting a student from Sidwell Friends school in northwest D.C. has been fired.

Robert Peterson is accused of assaulting a student at his Silver Spring home, and at the school's Camp Corsica in Queen Anne's County in Maryland.

Court documents say the 65-year-old, who taught the seventh and eighth grades, repeatedly entertained a male student at his home, showed him pornography and touched him inappropriately.

Peterson was placed on leave before the school year began and later fired.
