By Rebecca Blatt

If you're planning to travel on Metro's red line this weekendm keep in mind that the Grosvenor-Strathmore station will be closed through Monday evening.

Crews will be doing track work between the White Flint and Medical Center stations. A portion of the work is part of a larger multi-year Red Line rehabilitation project that will run through 2013.

Metro will offer free shuttle buses between White Flint and Medical Center throughout the weekend to help passengers get around the work zone. But riders should build an extra 40 minutes into their travel plans if they need to pass through that area.

The Grovesnor-Strathmore station will reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
