Fifty Fairfax County Schools Rewarded For Performance

The State Board of Education in Virginia is awarding more than 50 schools in Fairfax County for their outstanding performance.

The county's school system is being recognized for meeting all state and federal accountability benchmarks for at least two years in a row. Also, almost three dozen schools are receiving the 'Excellence Award,' and 20 are named as making progress toward goals set by Governor Tim Kaine.
