(January 15-February 6) THE SPOILS OF SUCCESS American Century Theater stages its latest production, Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? in Arlington, Virginia at the Gunston Art Center's Theatre Two. The show opens tomorrow night and runs through February 6th. This hilarious and naughty comedy turned Jayne Mansfield into a star in its original film version. The show features a Faustian deal, allowing a hack writer to make it to the top in Hollywood.

(January 16 & 17) The Beauty of Aging is explored in an exhibit at the Yellow Barn Studio in Maryland's Glen Echo Park this weekend only, kicking off with a reception Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. In the conclave of studios and artists in the heart of the park, painter Adriana Jaramillo's work is inspired by her father's battle with a brain tumor. Her subjects include flowers that have lost their shape and leaves that inevitably change with the seasons.

(January 16 & 17) KANKOURAN The KanKouran West African Dance Company makes an appearance at Dance Place in Northeast DC this Saturday night at 8 and Sunday afternoon at 4, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. KanKouran has been part of the DC dance landscape for 25 years, lending strength and athleticism to the beats of West Africa.
