Top politicians in Maryland want the state to become a leader in cybersecurity.

The need to boost cybersecurity in the United States is great, according to Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.). Making Maryland a leader in the industry shouldn't be too hard, according to Gov. Martin O'Malley, since the headquarters of the National Security Agency and National Institute for Standards and Technology are in the state.
