BETHESDA, Md. (AP) Montgomery County police say they've obtained an arrest warrant for a former IMF economist in the shooting of his one-time boss. Police say Ashoka Mody was ambushed at his Bethesda home Oct. 8 and the warrant charges Mohau Mercy Mathibe with attempted murder.

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) Police in Salisbury say crime is on the rise. Police say new statistics show violent crime is up 14 percent in the Maryland city near the Delaware line compared to the same time last year.

BALTIMORE (AP) Maryland Transportation Authority Police are seeking possible witnesses to the death of a pedestrian whose body was found along northbound Interstate 895 at the Eastern Avenue overpass in Baltimore. Police identify the victim found early yesterday as 23-year-old Christian Peralta Cungachi of Baltimore.
