WASHINGTON (AP) Federal prosecutors say a Temple Hills man has pleaded guilty to taking four girls across state lines for prostitution. The U.S. Attorney's office says 42-year-old Shelby Lewis faces up to 20 years in prison.

WASHINGTON (AP) Metro police say they have made an arrest in the District's first slaying of 2010. Metro police say 44-year-old Terrance Dominic Brooks of Washington was arrested early yesterday for the stabbing death of Zachery James Funke of Frederick.

WASHINGTON (AP) Metro says riders on the red, blue and orange lines should prepare for longer trips on most nights in January as it completes maintenance. The transit agency says people should plan on 20 to 30 minutes of additional travel time when riding Sunday to Thursday nights.
