MD, VA Senators Vote in Favor of Health Overhaul Bill

All four U.S. Senators from our area -- Senators Ben Cardin and Barbara Mikulski of Maryland and Senators Jim Webb and Mark Warner of Virginia -- voted in favor of the Senate health care overhaul bill this morning. The bill passed 60 to 39 along party lines. It will have to be reconciled with the House bill when Congress returns from its holiday break. Cardin spoke with WAMU's Matt McCleskey just after the vote -- about the tone on the Senate floor and what the bill will mean for our region...
