Light instrumental music plays over the speakers at Paradise Gift Shop on the main concourse of Reagan National Airport. The only person in this shop is Annabelle Becerra, and she works the register. "Most of the holidays are busy," she says, "except today because, you know, the weather."

Becerra says, during the holiday travel season, she can clear almost $1,000 in sales during her eight-hour shift. But with the stormy weather, she won't even come close.

Most flights in and out of Reagan National were canceled yesterday, as was the case at Dulles and BWI.
